At JBT Theatrical Design, everything we do is built on one fundamental principle: serve the story.
More than 20 years ago, I walked into a local roadhouse venue and experienced the power of live production for the first time. What stayed with me wasn’t just the performance on stage, but the people behind it — the performers, technicians, and designers all working together to create something bigger than themselves. Every lighting cue, every transition, every moment existed to support the story being told and the audience experiencing it.
That moment shaped the way I approach this work to this day.
Whether we’re designing for a theatrical production, concert, wedding, or corporate event, we believe every event has a story at its center. Our role is to help bring that story to life through light, atmosphere, precision, and creativity.

Second, we have over twenty years of experience in theatrical lighting and production management. We have built a network of like-minded professionals who are also willing to come along side us to help exceed our clients expectations. That is from the people we hire and the equipment we use. We want your audiences to be fully engaged in your story.

A: Any pursuit of a live theatrical event can be costly. The great thing about us, is that we understand the importance of a budget. That is why we are flexible in the services that we provide. Our services range from full project design to hourly labor.
